Dr. Steve Joordens
Professor of Psychology; Director of the Advanced Learning Technologies Lab @University of Toronto Scarborough
Dr. Joordens teaches the very large (approximately 1,900 students) Introduction to Psychology class on campus and has extensive online experience. His more recent course on Coursera is Mind Control: Managing Your Mental Health During COVID-19 As Director of the Advanced Learning Technologies Lab, Dr. Joordens leads the development and assessment of educational technologies to maximize efficacy and usability. The lab developed 3 educational technologies: peerScholar, mTuner and Digital Labcoat. Nick Khabaz is a 4th year undergraduate student studying at the University of Toronto Scarborough, double majoring in Immunology, Molecular Biology and Disease & Neuroscience. Nick is currently working with professors and students alike to better educate students on how to be successful in their academic careers and how to stay on track when it comes to learning online.
